DEEPWELL
Yacht Haven Marina Phuket

WHO WE ARE

A Small Crew,
A Long Coastline

Deepwell operates from the north end of Phuket because that's where the quieter water begins. We are not a large operator. We are a crew that knows these passages well and takes a small number of charters at a time.

OUR STORY

Starting from the Northern Shore

Deepwell began simply: a captain who had spent years crewing on dive liveaboards and day-trip boats decided to work from a different starting point. Yacht Haven Marina at Mai Khao sits away from the southern resort belt. The water here is calmer in the early mornings, the passages north are shorter, and the coral is in better condition than at most of the well-trafficked day-trip areas.

The company was formed around a single yacht and a straightforward idea: take guests to places that are actually worth going to, in a boat that's properly looked after, with a crew that knows what they are doing. Over time a second vessel joined the fleet, and the range of charters expanded to include multi-day passages to the Surin Islands and the outer Andaman.

We don't try to run as many charters as possible in a day. We run the right number. That means the crew has time to prepare properly, the yacht is always clean and provisioned, and guests get the attention a charter of this kind deserves.

OUR MISSION

What We're Here to Do

Navigate honestly

If a reef is closed, we don't go there. If the weather isn't right for an offshore passage, we won't pressure a departure. The sea has conditions that deserve respect, not scheduling pressure.

Operate with care

We follow Thai national park rules on anchoring, waste, and reef proximity. The areas we visit need to still be worth visiting in ten years' time.

Be straightforward with guests

What's included is included. What isn't is stated clearly before the charter. We don't add unexpected charges, and we don't promise something the sea can't reliably deliver.

HOW WE OPERATE

Standards We Hold Ourselves To

Thai Maritime Certification

The captain and crew hold current Thai maritime certifications. All charters operate within the regulatory framework of the Marine Department of Thailand.

Safety Equipment Standard

Life jackets, flares, EPIRBs, fire extinguishers, and first aid kits are maintained to current standards and checked before each departure. Briefings are given to all guests.

National Park Compliance

All entries into Mu Ko Similan, Mu Ko Surin, and adjoining marine parks are conducted with valid permits. Anchoring follows DNP guidelines to protect seabed habitats.

Regular Maintenance Schedule

Engine and rigging inspections are completed on a fixed schedule, not only when something shows a problem. Each vessel is dry-docked annually for hull inspection and antifouling.

Waste Management at Sea

No waste is discharged offshore. All refuse from multi-day passages is brought back to port and sorted for proper disposal. Single-use plastics are minimised onboard.

Passenger Insurance

All charters carry third-party liability insurance covering passengers aboard. Guests are advised to carry personal travel insurance for their own medical and trip-cancellation coverage.

Yacht Charter Services, Northern Phuket

Deepwell operates from Yacht Haven Marina at Mai Khao — the northernmost point of Phuket island, positioned where the Andaman Sea narrows between the mainland coast and the outer reef systems. Charters depart from here rather than from the south because the passage times to worthwhile destinations are substantially shorter, and the anchorages off Mai Khao and Nai Yang are calmer in the early mornings.

The three charter types — the Mai Khao Sunset Sail, the Similan Preview Day Trip, and the Northern Andaman Multi-Day Expedition — represent different commitments of time and distance, but share the same crew, the same preparation standards, and the same approach to what a charter aboard a well-maintained yacht should feel like. Private bookings only. No shared charters.

For groups considering a multi-day passage, the Deepwell crew is available to discuss route options, season-specific conditions, and what is realistically achievable in a given number of days. Enquiries are handled directly — there is no intermediary booking platform between a guest and the team that will actually be onboard with them.
